In conjunction with the Iowa High School Speech Association, the Saber Speech Team and Central DeWitt High School will be hosting a speech judge certification clinic on Tuesday, September 20th. If you have any interest or background in the performing arts or public speaking, or if you know someone else who is, we invite you to attend beginning at 7:00 PM in the middle school media center. Judging at speech contests can earn you over $100 (plus free food) for each contest! ▪WHAT: IHSSA Speech Judge Certification Training ▪WHEN: Tuesday, September 20th, 7:00-8:30 PM ▪WHERE: Central DeWitt Middle School Media Center ▪WHO: Anyone 18 and older who is willing to learn! ▪WHAT TO BRING: writing utensil and enthusiasm for supporting Iowa high school students ▪COST: Training is free, but if you do wish to follow through with certification, there is a $5 fee. If you are interested in becoming a certified judge but are unable to attend, please contact brianne.magill@cd-csd.org for a list of additional dates and sites around Iowa that are offering the training.
